wellness coaching

Why might a wellness coach be helpful in your life?

A wellness coach considers their client holistically. While supporting my clients, I evaluate the whole person; mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical body are explored. As a wellness coach, I  will help you to discover the root of your issue and promote insight and clarity so you may experience heightened awareness and begin to heal. Additionally, as a wellness coach, I will assist in the development of wellness tools to help you form new habits and ideas which will lead to a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Each session includes a one-hour visit, which is tailored to meet your needs. Dependent upon your goals, sessions may include reiki, nutrition counseling, meditation or light yoga. If you desire, you will also receive weekly check-ins from me via text or phone call. Let’s work together to create a healthier you!

reiki

Reiki is a complementary therapy that uses universal energy to help release blocks that may be causing you to feel emotional, mental, or physical pain. I, the reiki practitioner, acts as a conduit for the universal energy, using my hands to transfer the energy to you.

Reiki  serves as a great tool to use alongside western treatments, and other complementary therapies.  Many people with physical, and mental illness use this therapy to manage their symptoms. Reiki is also excellent even if you are not experiencing any particular discomfort, but want to be realigned with your vision for yourself. Reiki has no negative side effects, and often you leave the table feeling lighter, and open to new possibilities.

Personally, reiki has impacted my life by sending a wave of calm during times that I have felt particularly anxious. Additionally, reiki has opened and strengthened my intuition, allowing for me to have greater awareness of myself and others. Please reach out with any questions, I would love to talk more about this wonderful healing tool.

yoga and meditation

Yoga is a practice that focuses on breath and movement.  The practice of yoga is both spiritual and physical. Yoga is called moving meditation by some. There are many different styles of yoga.  I teach gentle yoga, vinyasa, ashtanga , and yin yoga. I begin teaching practice with breathwork, which helps relax the body and brings you to awareness of your breath and your body. Each style of yoga has something magical to offer, and allows for more focus, less anxiety, and body and mind awareness. Yoga is my personal favorite physical exercise, and I often practice multiple styles, depending on what my body is calling for that day. It is always a great way to get the body ready for meditation.

Meditation is the practice of allowing your thoughts to pass through without judgement. Often, you will practice coming back to the breath when your mind starts to wonder. You may use mantras, as well as mudras (purposeful hand positions) in your practice to support staying focused and to get deeper into your meditation. I like to think of meditation as a tool to bring me back “home,” to my truth and purpose.

I offer private sessions as well as small group sessions. Please contact me with any questions or inquires!

“Yoga is essentially a practice for your soul, working through the medium of your body.”        -Tara Fraser (yoga teacher and author)

“Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there-buried under 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day.” -Deepak Chopra
